Donate to BAGI
The Bay Area Glass Institute (BAGI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and relies on donations to support our facilities and programs to cultivate a vibrant glassworking community. Your donations help support the Institute’s mission and contribute to our stability and growth.
BAGI is a public access, modern, and non-profit glass studio (the only one in Santa Clara County), serving beginners through working artists. Your support will help us continue to offer classes in multiple disciplines, including glass blowing, flameworking, fusing, and cold working. You'll also be supporting the working artists and hobbyists who rent studio time and space at BAGI, and our other programming, including team-building workshops, summer camps, and public demos.
- In 2024, more than 8,500 people gained hands-on experience at BAGI by participating in a class or corporate event.
- BAGI's $1.7M in 2024 revenue covered our costs plus allowed for reinvestment in the facility and the community. We employed 25 individuals, 20 of whom are instructors, offered programs to 3 schools, provided 4 scholarships, hosted 4 visiting artists, and kept studio rental costs affordable for artists.
- We digitally engaged over 160,000 individuals through our website, social media, and newsletter.
- BAGI supported over 20 working artists and numerous hobbyists with studio rentals, glass pumpkin patches, and BAGI Night Live, programs that reached over 19,000 people.
- Additionally, we were seen by over 100,000 people by partnering with History Park San San Jose and the City of San Jose for events like First Fridays and Xmas in the Park.
If you are unable to donate financially, we also accept donations of volunteer time, equipment, and glass tools.
