Private Lessons / Private Surveys
BAGI offers private one-on-one instruction in many of the same disciplines and techniques explored in our group classes and workshops, as well as private groups of 2-4 ("Private Survey").
Private Lessons (one-on-one)
These classes are tailored instructional classes, which means they are guided by your instructor. This is not for custom projects you want to make. If you working on a project, we are more than willing to connect you with local glass artists on a commission basis.
All private lessons or projects requiring special equipment or materials (large glory holes or kilns), color, coldworking, borosilicate flameworking, etc. may incur additional costs.
Discipline | Cost of 1 lesson (2 hours) | Bulk cost of 4 lessons (8 hours) |
Glassblowing | $289 | $1,040 |
Flameworking (aka lampworking) | $236 | $850 |
Fusing | $236 | $850 |
Private Survey (small groups of 2-4)
Smaller group, more hands-on! Pure molten fun! This class is designed for small groups and couples that would like to try something a little different and desire a lot of “hands-on”. Each person attending will learn to use the basic tools of the glassblowing trade while creating a paperweight or flower, and either a vase or cup. This private session is a great intro to the glass art world.
$189/person, glassblowing only. For larger groups (5 or more), see our team building events page.

How to choose: Glass Experience, or Studio Class?
-
If you’ve never interacted with art glass before and just want a casual introduction to the medium, you’ll want to book a Glass Experience. These are half-day sessions that are a lot of fun, whether solo or with a group.
These make for great team-building events, and we also have seasonal experiences where you can make pieces that are season or holiday-specific.
If you have a Groupon for BAGI, then the Glass Experience is for you—book here.
-
If you’re ready to dig deep and start on the right path to becoming a proficient glass artist, you’ll want to book a Studio Class.
