The Bay Area Glass Institute (BAGI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and relies on donations to support our facilities and programs to cultivate a vibrant glassworking community. Your donations help support the Institute’s mission and contribute to our stability, growth, and our mission to provide accessible, hands-on glass experiences that educate and inspire current and future generations of patrons, students, artists, and our community.

Your generosity directly helps BAGI programs such as:

  • Facility Improvements as a part of our Capital Campaign
  • The BAGI Scholarship Fund
  • Visiting Artist Programs
  • Community Outreach

To make a donation of a custom amount, please use our PayPal donation portal.

Alternatively, add multiple donation amount options to your cart which total your intended donation. For example, to donate $700, add one $200 donation and one $500 donation, totaling $700.

Other Ways to Donate:

Your employer might provide a matching gift to the contributions you make to BAGI. Check with your employer and you might be able to double your donation. BAGI is also able to accept gifts of appreciated stock.

Gifting Securities

Donating appreciated stocks or mutual funds held longer than one year are generally exempt from capital gains taxes and entitles the donor to a tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the securities at the time of transfer. For your convenience, you can download and fill out a Letter of Authorization. Supply your stock broker with this information and send a copy to BAGI at studio@bagi.org.

Please consult with your tax adviser regarding your specific situation, and whether this option is appropriate for you.

Honoring A Loved One

Your 100% tax-deductible gift is a wonderful way to honor or memorialize someone, especially those who are artists or art-lovers. Their legacy can help foster the next generation of glass artists.
