Instructor: Julie Morrice

Learn the basics of stained glass while creating your own unique jewelry, ready to take home at the end of the class! We state with a brief history of stained glass, then a review of safety and materials, followed by an overview of the tools.

Pick from beautiful pre-cut glass available in many shapes, colors, and styles. You’ll learn how to wrap each piece in copper foil, how to apply lead-free solder with an iron, and the steps for cleaning and finishing your pieces. Earring wires and chains.

Each student will make either 1 pair of earrings or up to 2 necklaces. This is a fun and quick introduction to the techniques used to create Tiffany style stained glass windows and lamps. Intermediate and returning students will receive additional instruction on decorative soldering and incorporating wire.
