Paint Your Own Alebrije by Balam Arts: Dia de los Muertos Edition
Our friends from Balam Arts are returning to BAGI to host Paint Your Own Alebrije: Dia de los Muertos Edition! Join us in the studio on Halloween, Friday, October 31st, at 6:00 pm to learn about the history and meaning of alebrijes, painting and decorative techniques, and bring home an alebrije of your own. Reservations made through the BAGI website will hold your place in class, but payment will be handled by Balam at the event.
Attendees will receive.
-A blank wooden alebrije piece, ready to decorate. (Measurements approx. 4 to 6 inches)
-You can choose your favorite alebrije from the various designs that we have available.
-Brushes, sponges and other painting utensils, as well as acrylic paint.
-Introduction to what an alebrije is, its history. Verbal
-As well as a written guide written by Carolina A.
-Help and explanation on painting techniques.
