History San Jose and affiliates like BAGI will celebrate Women's Heritage Day on Saturday, March 22nd with our third annual event!
Last year we had a great time showing History Park visitors the exciting process of flameworking with mobile demonstrations on the main street through the park. This year we'll be back with more glass art demonstrations and, as always, BAGI's studios are open for everyone to explore and enjoy! We will be hosting a Walk-In Fuse Event if you want flex your creative mind! Our most affordable glass option, a walk-in fuse is $13 to decorate a 3" x 3" tile that we then fuse and can be picked up the following weekend.
Mosaic America will be hosting diverse cultural performances and workshops in front of the Pacific Hotel this year. The Empire Firehouse will feature local authors and book talks. The Woman-owned lowrider show, organized by La Raza, will return! History San José will be offering interactive craft stations that highlight local historical figures, and their historic buildings and indoor exhibitions will be open to the public.
Don't miss this festive, family-friendly community gathering as we honor the achievements and contributions of women throughout Santa Clara Valley's history!
