Caneworking Techniques
Caneworking Techniques
This class is full or not available.
Prerequisites: Color Application; Glass 1,2 and 3
Students will be introduced to the art of working with cane. Each student will learn about the processes used to make a variety of glass cane styles and how to incorporate them into solid and blown forms. Students will begin by creating single-color cane, and then move on to more complex cane styles. Students are encouraged to bring their own designs and patterns. Limited color will be provided and students are welcome to bring their own.
As an advanced class, it is most effective for the students learning experience if they have the ability to do color overlays and make a cup comfortably.

How to choose: Glass Experience, or Studio Class?
-
If you’ve never interacted with art glass before and just want a casual introduction to the medium, you’ll want to book a Glass Experience. These are half-day sessions that are a lot of fun, whether solo or with a group.
These make for great team-building events, and we also have seasonal experiences where you can make pieces that are season or holiday-specific.
If you have a Groupon for BAGI, then the Glass Experience is for you—book here.
-
If you’re ready to dig deep and start on the right path to becoming a proficient glass artist, you’ll want to book a Studio Class.
