This class introduces you to melting soft glass with a torch to make beads. You’ll wind molten glass on mandrels and achieve your desired shape by using heat control and tools to manipulate the glass.
Vocabulary, resources, safety and tools & equipment will also be covered. Upon completion, your skill level should enable you to work independently and you may rent torch time at BAGI.

How to choose: Glass Experience, or Studio Class?
-
If you’ve never interacted with art glass before and just want a casual introduction to the medium, you’ll want to book a Glass Experience. These are half-day sessions that are a lot of fun, whether solo or with a group.
These make for great team-building events, and we also have seasonal experiences where you can make pieces that are season or holiday-specific.
If you have a Groupon for BAGI, then the Glass Experience is for you—book here.

If you’re ready to dig deep and start on the right path to becoming a proficient glass artist, you’ll want to book a Studio Class.
