Venetian Glassblowing offers students who have completed some foundational courses one path of specialization. By using the Venetian methodology, students will gain an understanding of how glass behaves under particular limiting conditions. This class will begin by covering fundamentals from the following selection:
• Blowing thin cups
• Blown and solid stems
• Blown feet
• Optic molds and other simple decorative elements
• Avolios and other transition bits
• Centering multiple components

This intensive class will be held from 6-10pm for once-a-week for 5 weeks (skipping thanksgiving)

Recommended Prerequisites: Students should have some experience comfortably executing simple forms on a small scale (1-1.5 gathers of glass). Ideally, students should have completed BAGI’s glassblowing courses 1-3. Equivalently, a solid 1+ years of experience is recommended.

Please email studio@bagi.org if you are unsure if you qualify
