Heather Trimlett: Twisted Cane & Big Hole Beads – Just the Tip of the Iceberg

 

Heather Trimlett is a highly respected teacher and flameworking artist. Her knowledge of glass beadmaking is extensive, shaped by almost 25 years at the torch. Heather’s work approaches perfection and pushes the envelope in shape and form. Her beads are vibrant in their color and enthusiastic design just like she is, their color palette a crisp and clean mix of primary colors.

Heather will share her tips & tricks for mastering twisted cane:

  • How to choose colors
  • Mastering the layering
  • Controlling the diameter & length of the twist
  • Applying your twisted cane to any size bead
  • Making the ends of your twists meet!

She will give you tips & tricks for working with big hole beads:

  • How to precisely apply the glass on the big hole mandrel
  • Layering the glass
  • Maintaining the shape
  • Centering the pattern
