Prerequisites: Glassblowing 2 or Glassblowing 3 (just one), and Glassblowing 1.
This 4-day workshop will introduce students to solid glass sculpting and working "asymmetrically" (as opposed to the more "symmetrical" work of blown vessels) in the hot shop.
Skills that will be taught include: bit application, proper tool use, using the garage, the pick-up oven, and more. Students will learn how to safely and properly use oxygen and propane torches to create texture and form. Each student will walk away from this class with an understanding of how to make representative and abstract sculptural objects and some new tricks for making more elaborate vessels.

How to choose: Glass Experience, or Studio Class?
-
If you’ve never interacted with art glass before and just want a casual introduction to the medium, you’ll want to book a Glass Experience. These are half-day sessions that are a lot of fun, whether solo or with a group.
These make for great team-building events, and we also have seasonal experiences where you can make pieces that are season or holiday-specific.
If you have a Groupon for BAGI, then the Glass Experience is for you—book here.

If you’re ready to dig deep and start on the right path to becoming a proficient glass artist, you’ll want to book a Studio Class.
